Dr. Conrad Murray has been ordered to stand trial for manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson.

According to The Associated Press, Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor made the decision after a six-day preliminary hearing during which witnesses testified that the Houston cardiologist administered a dose of the powerful anesthetic propofol and other sedatives then left the pop star unmonitored.

During the course of the hearing, testimony was given that Murray ordered hundreds of bottles of propofol in the months before Jackson's death. The AP report also cited the fact that the prosecutors concluded their case with testimony from two doctors who said Murray acted outside the standard of medical care when he administered propofol and failed to provide proper care.

Other damning testimony included that of Jackson's bodyguard, who said that on the morning of the singer's death, it appeared that Murray didn't know how to administer CPR to his dying patient.

Judge Pastor also granted a request by the California Medical Board to suspend Murray's license to practice medicine in the state. Pastor said he made the decision in the interest of public safety and ordered Murray to notify every district in which he practices of the decision within 24 hours. Murray has clinics in Houston and Las Vegas.

Murray, 57, has pleaded not guilty, and his attorneys have argued that he did not give Jackson anything that should have killed him. Murray faces up to four years in prison if convicted.

Justin Bieber Greets Fans In New 'Never Say Never' Clip

Manager Scooter Braun says he gets paid 'to just make other people happy.'

In four weeks, Justin Bieber's 3-D flick, "Never Say Never," will be in theaters. As fans gear up for the film event of 2011, Ryan Seacrest shared a never-before-released clip from the Bieber film, which opens on February 11.

In the video, Bieber performs an acoustic version of "Baby." The performance footage is combined with scenes of him greeting his fans, something manager Scooter Braun admits is the highlight of working with the teen superstar.

"Me and the guy from 'Extreme Home Makeover' have the best jobs in the world," Braun explains in the new clip. "It's actually the most gratifying thing about the job. Little things go a very long way. You get paid to just make other people happy."

Braun admits that it really doesn't take much to make a Bielieber happy, just some primo seats to a Bieber show. "You give them free tickets and they're usually in the first 10 rows," Braun further explains. "If it weren't for those kids out there, we don't have jobs."

This is only the latest peek at the forthcoming film. A few weeks ago a clip of Bieber drumming as a kid was released. In it, his mom recalls his early days. "He never had any lessons or anything. I just never thought of it being anything other than for fun," Bieber's mother, Pattie Mallette, says.

The film's director, Jon Chu, told MTV News that he was nervous showing Bieber cuts of the film because he worried that the singer wouldn't be happy with the way he told his story.

"I mean, I'm always nervous. We're always trying to make our movies better," he explained. "We're never done with it, though. I just keep going until they tell me I've run out of time. So [Justin] got to see it this week, which was really exciting, and he loved it, which is always scary when you try to show someone the story of their life, but he's been very supportive, he and his family and his team. I'm excited to share it with the world and show another side of 3-D. With 'Step Up 3D,' we learned a lot of lessons and we discovered a lot of things, and it's just the beginning."

The first slate of performers for the 53rd annual Grammy Awards were revealed Thursday morning (January 13), and the roster reads like a pop-music all-star lineup. MTV already broke the news on Wednesday that Eminem will cement one of the best professional years of his career by taking the stage on February 13 at the Staples Center, where he's also up for 10 awards. And he'll have plenty of chart-smashing company.

Among the other nominees on the list to perform are Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Cee Lo Green, Arcade Fire and Miranda Lambert. It will be the first Grammy performance ever for Lambert and Arcade Fire, while Cee Lo, Eminem, Gaga and Perry are making return engagements.

For Eminem, the performance is the latest in a line of accomplishments tied to his career-renaissance album, Recovery, which is nominated for Album of the Year. The Detroit lyricist scored a pair of #1 singles from the album with "Not Afraid" and "Love the Way You Lie," featuring Rihanna. With the most nominations for the night, he's also likely to go home with a few more awards than he did at the 2009 Grammys, when his tepidly received Relapse snagged Best Rap Album.

Eminem has already been featured in the show's promotional campaign. A touching 30-second spot showcases Em's musical legacy, from the loss of his friend Proof to his struggles through drug dependency and his rise back to the top of the hip-hop game.

Joining him in the Grammy promo campaign on Wednesday were indie upstarts Arcade Fire, who are up for three awards for their album The Suburbs. Their "Music Is Life Is Music" ad was revealed on Wednesday, showing singer Win Butler singing passionately amid a collage of images that include a casket, a barn, roses, wedding rings and dripping chocolate bars.

While 11-time Grammy winner Eminem leads the pack in nominations this year, Gaga is not far behind with six nods for The Fame Monster, while Perry and Green are each up for four, and Arcade Fire and Lambert are vying for three awards.

Additional performers and presenters will be announced soon.

Justin Bieber 'Never Say Never' Ad To Air During 'Glee' Super Bowl Ep

Bieber's 30-second spot will debut one week before his 3-D movie's Valentine's Day weekend opening.

Who says that young girls don't care about Super Bowl Sunday? This year there's a big reason for tweens, teens and non-football fans to get in on the action. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a new spot for Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never" 3-D flick will run during the super special post-Super Bowl episode of "Glee."

The 30-second commercial is set to air during the February 6 episode of the hit Fox comedy. The film opens one week later, on Valentine's Day weekend. THR further reports that the ad will be shown during "Glee" and not the Super Bowl proper since the film's target demographic is more likely to tune in to the musical TV show than the big game.

This is not the first time Bieber has teamed up with a major sporting event to support a release. During Game 3 of last year's World Series, the teen pop star debuted a mini-music video for the unplugged version of his song "Never Say Never" to promote his acoustic album, My Worlds Acoustic.

Bieber's flick isn't the only movie taking advantage of the Super Bowl's massive viewership. Several blockbusters will air commercials on Fox sometime during the evening, whether it's preshow, during the game or, in Bieber's case, postshow. It reportedly costs about $3 million for 30 seconds of airtime on the big night.

Variety reports that the movies "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," "Super 8," "Thor," "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," "Cowboys and Aliens," "Priest," "Kung Fu Panda 2," "Just Go With It," "Battle: Los Angeles," "Limitless," "Rango" and "The Eagle" all will have commercials broadcast during Super Bowl Sunday.

Do you plan to tune in to "Glee" after the Super Bowl to watch Justin's "Never Say Never" spot? Tell us in the comments.

New Led Zeppelin On The Way? Jason Bonham Hints At 'Jam' Sessions With Jimmy Page -- But Not Robert Plant

Drummer admits he doesn't know what will come of 'new material.'
By Chris Harris

On Friday morning, mere hours before he was due to take the stage with classic rockers Foreigner at Detroit's GM Renaissance Center, drummer Jason Bonham — the son of late Led Zeppelin kitman John Bonham — told Jim Johnson and Lynne Woodison of local rock station 94.7 WCSX that he'd be an ex-member of Foreigner as of September 1. But that's not the only thing he said.

Much to the delight of Led Zeppelin fans everywhere, Bonham revealed that he's been meeting up with Led Zep guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones in recent months and that they've been "trying to do some new material and writing."

It was the first time since Led Zeppelin announced they would re-form for a single performance (which happened late last year at London's O2 Arena, in honor of the late Ahmet Ertegün, who signed the band to Atlantic Records in 1969) that anyone connected to the band has confirmed publicly that new music could be on the horizon for the iconic rockers. While the bandmembers have stopped short of definitively ruling out such a reunion, singer Robert Plant insisted in the wake of last year's show that he intended to focus on promoting and touring behind his critically lauded album with bluegrass artist Alison Krauss, Raising Sand.

Not that Bonham knows what — if anything — will happen with the new material he's been working on with Page (who collaborated with pop singer Leona Lewis on an uneven version of Zep's "Whole Lotta Love" at the Olympic closing ceremonies in Beijing on Sunday night) and Jones. He said he just shows up and takes his seat behind the kit.

"I've been over [to England] a couple of times," Bonham said. "I've been working with Jimmy and John Paul and trying to do ... some new material and some writing. I don't know what it will be, but it will be something. At the moment, all I know is I have the great pleasure to go and jam with the two guys and start work on some material. When I get there, I never ask any questions. If I get a phone call to go and play, I enjoy every moment of it. Whatever it ends up as, to ever get a chance to jam with two people like that, it is a phenomenal thing for me. It's my life. It's what I've dreamed about doing."

He said it's still too early to tell what will become of these "jam" sessions, but admitted that the "possibility of doing something is in the cards. I really felt it was in the cards from the moment we walked offstage at the O2." Bonham also explained that, before there could be a Led Zep LP, "lots of politics [would need to] get ironed out," but added that recording with Zep is "something I've always wanted to do."

Bonham noticeably didn't mention frontman Plant's name during the discussion. A spokesperson for Page's management had no comment on the matter, and a spokesperson for Jones' management could not be reached by press time.
